Liberian-flagged tanker MONJASA REFORMER reported an attack in progress by five armed men while it was 140 nautical miles west of Pointe Noire (Congo).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This information is relayed by the Maritime Domain Awareness for Trade Gulf of Guinea (MDAT GoG), based in Brest and Portsmouth (UK).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Sunday 26 March, the Chief Command for the Atlantic (CECLANT) sent the French Navy patrol boat Premier L&#8217;Her, which was in Libreville (Gabon) at the time, to reach the tanker&#8217;s last known position (05\u00b003&#8217;N-009\u00b035&#8217;E).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since its arrival in the area on Monday 27 March in the early afternoon, this unit, equipped with an aerial surveillance drone, has been continuing its search for the vessel, which has not emitted any AIS since the beginning of the attack.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Monjasa-Reformer-Monjasa-780x470-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10676 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Monjasa-Reformer-Monjasa-780x470-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"780\" height=\"470\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">At this stage, the operations, carried out in conjunction with the other vessels present in the area, the Maritime Operational Center (MOC) of the region, the MRCC Monrovia and the MDAT GoG, remain unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The crew of the MONJASA REFORMER is made up of 16 sailors of different
