The project aims to improve the processing and conservation of fish products and control of the port cold chain, in line with international norms and standards in this area.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/1690281680133.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11843 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/1690281680133.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\" srcset=\"https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/1690281680133.jpg 1600w, https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/1690281680133-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/1690281680133-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/1690281680133-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/1690281680133-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/1690281680133-800x450.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The modernisation project will be carried out in two distinct phases:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Phase 1: South zone of the terminal<\/strong>: This phase includes the construction of a multifunctional cold storage building, comprising cold storage warehouses and cold chambers, as well as a cold container yard, a new 100-metre long quay and adjoining medians.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Phase 2: North zone of the terminal<\/strong>: The north zone of the terminal will house cold stores and cold rooms, a sorting, processing, packaging and preservation centre, an ice factory, a fishmeal factory, sales halls, a multifunctional administrative building with a public restaurant, as well as a wastewater pre-treatment unit, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The agreement will run for a total of 5 years, including the study, design and construction period, followed by 25 years of operation. One of the key clauses of this agreement relates to the promotion of training and professional integration of young Cameroonian graduates and apprentices.
