The highlight of the event was the 7th edition of the African Ports Awards, at which the Togolese port was honoured for its outstanding excellence and innovation in the port sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At this prestigious ceremony, the Port Autonome de Lom\u00e9 was awarded the prestigious prize for &#8220;<strong>Best Transit &amp; Transhipment Traffic (Integration of Sub-Regional Economies) in 2022<\/strong>&#8220;. This recognition underlines the exceptional efficiency of its operations, with <strong>transit traffic reaching 3.8 million tonnes and an impressive transhipment traffic of 1.574 million TEU containers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another remarkable achievement that has propelled the Port Autonome de Lom\u00e9 to the pinnacle of port success is its award for the &#8220;<strong>Best Integrated Management System (IMS) Policy<\/strong>&#8220;. This distinction was awarded on the basis of four <strong>ISO certificates (45001, 14001, 27001 and 9001)<\/strong>, demonstrating the port&#8217;s unwavering commitment to operational excellence, innovation and sustainability.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These two awards reflect the Port Autonome de Lom\u00e9&#8217;s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, the strategic vision of the Togolese government through the Ministry of Maritime Economy, Fisheries and Coastal Protection, and the unwavering commitment of the entire port team, as well as its partners and stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Commercial Director of the Port Autonome de Lom\u00e9, <strong>Mrs Aku\u00e9l\u00e9 Yevona ADANLETE LAWSON<\/strong>, was also honoured at the ceremony as &#8220;<strong>Best Woman who has Dynamically Performed Duties in the Maritime and Port Sector (RFPMP-AOC)<\/strong>&#8220;. This distinction reflects the crucial role played by women in the maritime and port sector and highlights Ms Yevona&#8217;s exceptional leadership.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1699966877708.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12450 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1699966877708.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1170\" height=\"775\" srcset=\"https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1699966877708.jpg 1170w, https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1699966877708-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1699966877708-1024x678.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1699966877708-768x509.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1170px) 100vw, 1170px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Togolese Minister for the Maritime Economy, Fisheries and Coastal Protection, who received a team of directors from the Port Autonome de Lom\u00e9 in audience to discuss these honorary achievements, expressed his satisfaction at the worldwide recognition of the Togolese port. He stressed that these distinctions further strengthen the position of the Port Autonome de Lom\u00e9 as the undisputed regional leader in the port sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In conclusion, these successes testify to the perseverance and determination of the Port Autonome de Lom\u00e9 to achieve the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
