2560px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Mo\u00e7\u00e2medes Bay Integrated Development Project (PIDBM) is one of the largest projects underway in Angola, as part of the programme to revitalise Angola&#8217;s maritime and port sub-sector, under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The aim of the project is to position Angola on the international trade route, taking into account the economic potential of the southern region, while focusing on the mining sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The total cost of the project is USD 600 million, 85% of which is being financed by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and 15% by the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project is divided into two phases:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Phase 1 involves the construction of a new berth for the Saco-Mar ore terminal, 520 metres long and with a draught of 20 metres, as well as buildings to support port activity.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Phase 2 includes the construction of a new container terminal at a depth of -14 metres, which will increase the handling capacity of the port of Namibe and make it more efficient.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The
