The latest Lloyd’s List ranking of the world’s best performing ports in terms of container traffic for the year 2024 has just been published, and the Port of Lom\u00e9 has managed to move up one place, from 94th to 93rd.<\/p>\n

This progression demonstrates the constant improvement of port operations in Lom\u00e9, a positive sign for Togo’s maritime economy and for the port’s strategic position in international trade.<\/p>\n

With its modern infrastructure, exemplary management and forward-looking vision, the Port of Lom\u00e9 now ranks 5th in Africa, just behind the ports of Tangier Med in Morocco (8.61 million TEU), Port Said in Egypt (4.44 million TEU), Durban in South Africa (2.54 million TEU) and Damietta in Egypt (1.97 million TEU).<\/p>\n

The Port of Lom\u00e9 thus becomes the only port in sub-Saharan Africa to feature in this prestigious ranking, confirming its status as a leader in the region.<\/p>\n
