The vessel arrived shortly after 2p.m., escorted by the tugboats Mamelles and Alouette through the approach channel. As an official welcome, the tugboat Ste Anne greeted it with an impressive water jet near the Lighthouse monument.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">This new tugboat, measuring 21.02 meters in length, 10.81 meters in width, and with a draft of 4.5 meters, is equipped with an Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) propulsion system. It has a bollard pull of 50 tonnes and can reach a maximum speed of 12 knots, making it a powerful and modern addition to the fleet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Its arrival coincides with the SPA&#8217;s 20th anniversary, celebrated on October 14, 2024, illustrating the Port Authority&#8217;s dynamism and constant progress. This tugboat adds to a fleet now composed of four units, with the previous one, Mamelles, having been commissioned last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">An official inauguration ceremony, scheduled for October 29, 2024, on the Mah\u00e9 quay, will mark the vessel&#8217;s commissioning.
