The ceremony was attended by distinguished representatives from institutional and maritime authorities, local officials and industry professionals. They included\u00a0<b><strong>Livio<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0<b><strong>Spadavecchia<\/strong><\/b>, Italian Consul General in Casablanca,\u00a0<b><strong>Sanae El Amrani<\/strong><\/b>, Director of Ports and Maritime Public Domain of the Moroccan Ministry of Equipment,\u00a0<b><strong>Mustapha Far\u00e8s<\/strong><\/b>, Director General of the National Ports Agency (ANP),\u00a0<b><strong>Andrea Grimaldi<\/strong><\/b>, Grimaldi Group Deep Sea Lines Executive Manager,\u00a0<b><strong>Pasquale Autiero<\/strong><\/b>, Master of the\u00a0<em>Great Casablanca<\/em>, and\u00a0<b><strong>Giuseppe Patan\u00e8<\/strong><\/b>,\u00a0<b><strong>John Kenny\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>and\u00a0<b><strong>Mostafa Benhima<\/strong><\/b>, respectively<b><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>Directors and General Manager of Grimaldi Agencies Maroc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The fifth of six innovative \u201cG5\u201d class ro-ro multipurpose vessels, the\u00a0<em>Great Casablanca<\/em>\u00a0incorporates advanced technologies to enhance energy efficiency and minimize environmental impact. This includes reducing CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0emissions per tonne by up to 43% compared to the previous class of Grimaldi vessels. With length of 250 metres, the\u00a0<em>Great Casablanca<\/em>\u2019s design is the result of a careful study of the needs of the Group and its customers: thanks to an innovative and completely customized internal configuration, the ship is able to transport 4,700 linear metres of rolling freight, 2,500 CEU (Car Equivalent Units) and 2,000 TEU (Twenty Foot Equivalent Units).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Named after the economic capital of Morocco, the\u00a0<em>Great Casablanca<\/em>\u00a0reinforces the Grimaldi Group\u2019s ongoing commitment to the country, a crucial hub for trade between Europe, China and West Africa. In fact, the Group provides over 130 port calls annually in Casablanca and Tangier Med.
