The forensic audit aims to assess Liberia&#8217;s compliance with international maritime regulations and standards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The opening ceremony of the IMSAS audit was held at the NPA Corporate Headquarters, where Hon. J. Richard Benard, Deputy Managing Director for Adm, warmly welcomed the IMO delegation on behalf of the NPA management. He expressed the Port Management\u2019s unwavering commitment to adhering to IMO protocols, emphasizing that this compliance would facilitate the audit process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his remarks, Hon. Emmanuel Horton, the DMD\/O of the NPA presented a detailed PowerPoint overview of the NPA&#8217;s operational activities, showcasing the Authority\u2019s dedication to maritime excellence and international standards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking on behalf of the IMO delegation, Mr. Italo D&#8217;Amico of Argentina expressed excitement about being in Liberia, a valued IMO member state. He highlighted the team\u2019s mission to enhance and reinforce the NPA\u2019s adherence to IMO protocols, noting the importance of such audits in strengthening maritime governance globally.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The IMO audit team included Ms. Josephine Nthia, a Kenyan Audit Officer, and Mr. Aji Vasudevan, an Audit Officer from India representing the IMO Secretariat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following the ceremony, the proceedings transitioned into a technical working session, where the IMO auditors and NPA technical teams delved deeper into operational compliance and documentation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This engagement underscores Liberia\u2019s commitment to upholding international maritime standards and the NPA&#8217;s proactive
