Ambassador Robert Wilmont Kpadeh, Liberia\u2019s Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization &#8211; IMO, led a three-member delegation to present the Official Note Verbale from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Liberia to the Legal Department at the IMO Headquarters in London.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This submission signals the official start of Liberia\u2019s campaign to get re-elected to Category-A of the IMO 40-member Council during the elections at the 34th Assembly session in December 2025. He described the re-election bid as a reflection of Liberia\u2019s key role in advancing global maritime development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In support of the campaign, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Liberia has issued a circular urging all diplomatic missions, government ministries, and agencies to rally behind the country\u2019s bid, describing it as a matter of national pride and obligation.<br \/>\nThe IMO Council elections will play a crucial role in shaping the organization\u2019s policy direction as it addresses critical issues in global maritime safety,
