This achievement is a testament to the NPA\u2019s commitment to modernization and its strategic efforts to position Liberia\u2019s ports as drivers of economic growth and trade.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under the leadership of Managing Director Hon. Sekou A. M. Dukuly, the NPA has actively engaged international stakeholders to secure this transformative opportunity. SCOPE Africa, implemented by Expertise France and Enabel, will focus on capacity building, infrastructure support, and operational improvements at the Freeport of Monrovia, ensuring it remains competitive and investment-friendly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As part of the initiative, an Atlantic Zone Coordinator will be appointed in the coming weeks to oversee project implementation across participating ports, including Monrovia. Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is being finalized to formalize collaboration between the project team and national authorities. This MoU will define critical areas such as training programs, facility enhancements, and the establishment of an annual Port Steering Committee to guide implementation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first strategic planning meetings between the regional coordinator and the NPA will take place between July and September 2025, leading to a comprehensive action plan tailored to Liberia\u2019s port development needs. A Port Steering Committee will convene in late 2025, where findings from in-depth needs assessments will be presented, shaping a detailed roadmap for 2026 and beyond.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The NPA Management commends this milestone and remains dedicated to cultivating international partnerships that will drive sustainable development and economic progress.
