It is particularly suited for applications in the wind power industry as well as the oil and gas sector, where it excels in maintenance and supply operations.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Liebherr has successfully sold two offshore cranes of the type RL\u00a02600 (Ram Luffing\u00a02600) and RL-K 2600 (Ram Luffing knuckle boom\u00a02600) to Yinson Production, a global energy and technology company based in Singapore<\/li>\n<li>The cranes will support the Agogo FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading Unit), which will be operating in the Agogo field of offshore Angola<\/li>\n<li>Used for maintenance and component replacement on the Agogo FPSO, the cranes are the ideal choice for harsh offshore environments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The RL crane series is known for its compact design and is specially designed for use on both fixed and floating offshore applications. The RL-K design is based on the RL design, and the foldable boom is predestined for space-restricted applications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rostock (Germany), April 2025 \u2013 Offshore power for Central Africa. The RL\u00a02600 and RL-K\u00a02600 from Liebherr\u2019s offshore cranes series impress with their high reliability, simple function-optimised design and ease of maintenance. Yinson Production has secured a contract to operate and maintain the Agogo FPSO for Azule Energy, Angola\u2019s largest independent oil and gas producer and a 50\/50 joint venture between BP p.l.c. and Eni S.p.A. The Agogo FPSO will be operated in the Agogo field, located in Block 15\/06, approximately 180 kilometres west of Angola\u2019s coast. This project marks Yinson Production\u2019s entry into Angola, while their partnership with Liebherr builds on the successful collaboration established in 2016, marking their second joint project. The Agogo FPSO will expand Yinson Production\u2019s FPSO fleet to eight units.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_17792\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-17792\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/liebherr-rl2600-rl-k2600-offshore-2-96dpi_w800.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-17792 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/liebherr-rl2600-rl-k2600-offshore-2-96dpi_w800.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/liebherr-rl2600-rl-k2600-offshore-2-96dpi_w800.jpg 800w, https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/liebherr-rl2600-rl-k2600-offshore-2-96dpi_w800-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/liebherr-rl2600-rl-k2600-offshore-2-96dpi_w800-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-17792\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Ram luffing crane RL 2600, ordered by Yinson Production, has a maximum lifting capacity of up to 30 tonnes and a maximum reach of 30 metres.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Compact cranes for challenging offshore environments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Liebherr will deliver the cranes with a maximum lifting capacity of up to 30 tonnes and a maximum boom outreach of over 30 metres each. \u2018We are pleased to be selected as the supplier of the main cranes onboard the Agogo FPSO for Angolan waters and look forward to maintaining our long-standing cooperation with Yinson Production through this new project. The RL\u00a02600 is designed to meet the rigorous demands of the offshore industry. Customers worldwide were asked for their feedback, which was reflected in a compact design with a small radius and low overall height. In addition, Liebherr prioritises durability and reliability in order to meet the high demands of its customers. High-quality materials and components ensure a long service life and minimise downtime and maintenance requirements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With a rear slewing radius of less than 3 metres, the RL-K is the most compact crane in its series. The superstructure, featuring the slewing column, forms the foundational element of the crane. This structure houses the main drive, the electronic control system, and the central hydraulic power unit. The operator\u2019s cabin, affixed to the slewing column, provides straightforward and comfortable access. The unique aspect of the knuckle boom\u2019s design is its mechanical knuckle transmission. To meet specific operational needs, the boom length can be customised according to customers\u2019 requirements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Excellence in customer service &#8211; worldwide<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once the cranes are in operation, Liebherr Portugal will take over the maintenance and servicing of the equipment.
