Italian KONTSHIP Co. and the international navigational line HAPAG LLOYDS) that operates the terminal, in preparation for its inauguration and operation soon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Already 7 giant berth cranes have arrived, hence total number of giant cranes is 12 berth cranes of STS type, produced by HHMC Chinese company the leading company in ports\u2019 modern equipment manufacturing. These winches are characterized by high operational capabilities, where its lifting power reaches 75 tons, with the ability to reach 57.5 m from the berth\u2019s surface, so it can deal efficiently with giant vessels that carry up to 11 container high. Whereas the crane\u2019s outer arm is 72 m so that it can deal with biggest width of\u00a0 container vessels, and this enhances the port\u2019s ability to receive modern international container vessels\u2019 types. Also the new winches are fitted with developed modern safety systems; including sensors and cameras and protection systems to guarantee safe stevedoring. In addition to its support of integration with smart ports management systems, and hence can follow up instantly all operations and achieve highest standards of efficiency and coordination between different operational departments in the terminal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also,30winches (RTG) up till now have been received, and decided to become 40 soon, and these winches are ecofriendly in order to operate the terminal with efficiency and sustainability. Also the yard cranes are characterized by high operational capabilities where its height reaches\u00a0 21m, and support with dual system that allows for operation with electricity and diesel, and it is manufactured by Chinese (Genma-Kalmar) Co. one of the global leading companies in advanced handling equipment industry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Moreover, \u201cTahia Miser 1\u201d container terminal project is considered one of the biggest national projects that is currently implemented at Damietta port, where its berths extend to reach\u00a0 a length of 1970m and depth 18m, with a backyard of an area about 922 thousand square meter and with capacity reaching 3.5 million TEU, and \u201cDamietta alliance\u201d company for container handling\u00a0 operates the terminal in accordance with advanced international standards and this enhances the port\u2019s status being a comprehensive logistic center in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Egyptian Maritime Transport &amp; Logistics
