This 8th edition, which brings together an especially large number of military assets at sea, on land, and in the air, aims to share expertise and enhance the operational capabilities of all participants in combating illegal fishing, piracy, maritime pollution, illicit trafficking, and conducting sea rescue operations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">GANo 25 will also receive support from numerous partners, including the European Union\u2014through the EnMar and SEACOP programs in particular\u2014the\u00a0<em>United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime<\/em>\u00a0(UNODC), the\u00a0<em>International Criminal Police Organization<\/em>\u00a0(INTERPOL), the\u00a0<em>Center for Documentation, Research and Experimentation on Accidental Water Pollution<\/em>\u00a0(CEDRE), the\u00a0<em>Sub-Regional Fisheries Commission<\/em>\u00a0(SRFC), the\u00a0<em>Fisheries Committee for the West Central Gulf of Guinea<\/em>\u00a0(FCWC), the\u00a0<em>Regional Fisheries Commission of the Gulf of Guinea<\/em>\u00a0(COREP), and the\u00a0<em>European Fisheries Control Agency<\/em>\u00a0(EFCA).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Through their leading role in the partnership established by the Yaound\u00e9 Protocol of 2013, France, the Yaound\u00e9 Architecture, and all their partners continue to play a decisive role in strengthening maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From November 10 to 17, follow updates on the\u00a0<em>Grand African NEMO<\/em>\u00a0exercise on social media with the hashtag\u00a0<strong>#GANo25<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Gulf of Guinea<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stretching over 5,707 kilometers of West African coastline, from Senegal to Angola, the Gulf of Guinea is a major maritime region.
