Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to the Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority (DPFZA).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"542\" data-end=\"886\">The signing ceremony took place in the presence of H.E. Hassan Houmed, Minister of Equipment and Transport of the Republic of Djibouti, H.E Ahmed Ali Barreh Ambassador of Djibouti in Egypt and H.E Abdelrahman Raafat khattab Ambassador of Egypt in Djibouti, underscoring the strategic importance attached to this bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"888\" data-end=\"989\">The signed agreements relate to three major projects with significant economic and industrial impact:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">An agreement between Egyptian solar energy producer Elsewedy Electric and SGTD for the development of a 23 MW solar power plant equipped with a battery storage system. The project will be located on a 30-hectare site in Doraleh and will supply energy exclusively to SGTD.<\/li>\n<li>A Memorandum of Understanding between Great Horn Investment Holding (GHIH) and the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport (HCMLT), an Egyptian state-owned entity, for the development of a new container terminal with a capacity of 5 million TEUs, featuring a 1,450-meter quay and a draft of \u201318 meters.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">A land lease agreement for an initial 10-hectare plot within Djibouti International Free Trade Zone, for the development of a logistics zone dedicated to the export and processing of Egyptian products. This project will lead to job creation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking on the occasion, H. E. Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport of the Arab Republic of Egypt, affirmed that Djibouti and Egypt are brotherly nations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He emphasized that his presence at this ceremony, marked by the signing of agreements between private companies and Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority, reflects the depth of this fraternal relationship and the common commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Djibouti and
