operationalized for real-time information sharing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These initiatives contributed to a significant reduction in piracy incidents in the Gulf of Guinea, with some periods nearing zero reported cases according to the International Maritime Bureau.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Legal Reforms and Anti-Piracy Efforts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">MOWCA promoted regional adoption of legislative models such as Nigeria\u2019s SPOMO Act and supported successful prosecutions of maritime criminals, notably in Nigeria
