This initiative aims to boost port capacity, improve operational efficiency and drive long-term economic growth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The RFP relates to designated portions of King\u2019s Royal Flats No. 16576, identified as Sites 1 and 4. These sites are earmarked for the design, construction and operation of commercial logistics facilities over a lease period of up to 25 years. Site 1 offers approximately 70 478 m\u00b2, while Site 4 spans over 101 065 m\u00b2. Strategically located within the Port of Durban\u2019s Bayhead precinct, the sites are well positioned to support the container-handling sector and other port-related logistics activities, leveraging on its proximity to key port infrastructure and logistics corridors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The envisaged developments will accommodate a broad range of port-related logistics activities, including cargo handling, warehousing, storage and distribution. The project is poised to unlock new port commercial opportunities within the precinct.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mpumi Dweba-Kwetana, Durban Port Manager said: \u201cThese sites represent one of the port\u2019s key logistics development opportunities. Through this development, TNPA aims to stimulate new commercial activity and strengthen the port\u2019s position as a leading hub for integrated logistics and value-added services.
