The Terminal de San Pedro (TSP) officially received a new state-of-the-art cargo handling crane on Thursday, July 30, 2026, marking another milestone in the modernization of the port infrastructure of the Port Autonome de San Pedro (PASP).<\/p>\n

The handover ceremony was chaired by the Director General of PASP, Pascal Jos\u00e9 DALLY, and brought together members of the port community, partners of the Terminal de San Pedro, as well as administrative, religious, and traditional authorities.<\/p>\n

In his address, the Director General of PASP praised this strategic investment, which forms part of the port authority’s policy to modernize port infrastructure and equipment. He emphasized that, beyond its technical capabilities, such a crane represents a genuine driver of growth.<\/p>\n

“A crane is not merely a lifting machine; it embodies a promise of performance and reliability in the service of a port that chooses to anticipate the future,” he stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Pascal Jos\u00e9 DALLY noted that the evolution of maritime transport, characterized by increasing cargo volumes and the deployment of ever-larger vessels, requires ports to be equipped with modern facilities. The acquisition and operation of this new crane, fitted with the latest technological features, will significantly improve vessel handling rates, reduce turnaround times, enhance productivity and operational safety, and further strengthen the attractiveness and competitiveness of the Port of San Pedro along the sub-regional trade corridor.<\/p>\n

The Director General of PASP also reaffirmed the port authority’s commitment to supporting terminal operators in their investment projects in order to foster C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire’s economic growth.<\/p>\n

Finally, Pascal Jos\u00e9 DALLY stressed that the performance of a major port depends on close cooperation between the port authority and private operators. In this regard, he congratulated the Chief Executive Officer of TSP, Georges BROWN, and his entire team for successfully delivering this strategic investment, which reinforces the shared ambition of building an increasingly competitive Port of San Pedro.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
