He also took the opportunity to commend and appreciate ISA for leading the ongoing GESAMP\u00a0scoping study on cumulative impacts assessment,\u00a0stating\u00a0that \u201cunderstanding cumulative\u00a0impacts \u2013\u00a0especially in aeras beyond national jurisdiction- is essential for safeguarding marine ecosystems.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Mr. Dominguez\u00a0underscored\u00a0that \u201cIMO stands ready to share its experiences and expertise as needed, to ensure complementarity and harmonization, as appropriate.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To\u00a0conclude with\u00a0his remarks,\u00a0the IMO Secretary-General\u00a0shared that \u201cthe ocean connects us all\u201d and its \u201chealth underpins climate stability, biodiversity,\u00a0food security, and the\u00a0wellbeing\u00a0of billions of people.
