Once operational, the project will contribute to the development of Algeria\u2019s agricultural and industrial value chains, strengthening the country\u2019s position in the global fertilizer market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The full EPC contract will be based on a contractual framework which will allow both parties to share risks and rewards during the execution, including the LNTP period which will enable Saipem to\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">start the preliminary activities that are preparatory and critical for achieving the first project milestones. These include but are not limited to FEED completion and detailed<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0engineering, procurement<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0of long lead items, as well as preliminary<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0project mobilization and\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">organization<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0activities,\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">pending<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0the negotiation and\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">finalization<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0of\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">the EPC contract<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Saipem will make available to Sonatrach its experience in the management of complex EPC projects and in the execution of fast-track programs, with an integrated approach combining engineering activities for design, procurement, construction and execution control. Moreover, Saipem will involve leading Algerian national companies as construction partners to ensure that the project will translate into the growth of local skills and industrial capabilities, while being able to count on their knowledge and experience of the local environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The selection of Saipem for this\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">key<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0project<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">, after the first competitive FEED contract awarded in June 2025,<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0represents a\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">strategic<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0milestone<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">,<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0marking the Company\u2019s return to Algeria and the\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">start<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0of a new phase of industrial cooperation with Sonatrach, a long-standing and strategic client.<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0In addition, it confirms Saipem\u2019s positioning in the sector of integrated fertilizer projects, thanks to a unique combination of engineering and technological expertise in the infrastructure and process fields.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><span lang=\"EN-US\">Saipem is a global leader in the engineering and construction of major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors, both offshore and onshore.
