Nigerian Maritime Administration & Safety Agency (NIMASA) DG\/CEO, Dr Dayo Mobereola, has reaffirmed that developing indigenous capacity under Nigeria\u2019s Cabotage regime remains a priority.<\/p>\n

During a tour of Marine Platforms Limited\u2019s African Pioneer, a Nigerian-flagged 8,000-tonne Diving Support Vessel, he said: \u201cVessels such as this flying the Nigerian flag should have priority over any foreign vessel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dr Mobereola added that NIMASA is automating the Nigerian Ship Registry to make it more attractive and encourage more vessels to fly the Nigerian flag.<\/p>\n

The CEO of Marine Platforms Limited, Mr Taofeek Adegbite, acknowledged the company\u2019s benefits from the Cabotage regime and expressed pride in flying the Nigerian flag.<\/p>\n
