The initiative aims to streamline trade processes, improve operational efficiency, and create a more connected and transparent port community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The platform will support a broad range of port operations, including vessel management, imports, exports, transshipment, cabotage, truck and rail movements, customs and regulatory interactions, warehouse operations, and performance monitoring. It will integrate with existing systems such as the Customs Single Window, Terminal Operating Systems, Vessel Traffic Management Systems, and banking and payment platforms, creating a seamless digital environment for all port stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Marking the occasion, the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Hon. Jo\u00e3o Matlombe, said:<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cDigital transformation is no longer an option; it is a prerequisite for competitiveness. The Port Community System represents a strategic step towards a more integrated, efficient and transparent logistics ecosystem, fully aligned with the Government\u2019s vision for the modernisation of transport and trade facilitation. As Mozambique\u2019s first Port Community System, this initiative positions the Port of Maputo as a pioneer and lays the foundation for the digital evolution of our national logistics network.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Highlighting the significance of the the initiative, <strong>Os\u00f3rio Lucas, CEO of MPDC<\/strong>, said, \u201cThe implementation of the PCS aligns with our vision of creating a smarter, more connected, and efficient port ecosystem. By enabling real-time collaboration and information sharing among stakeholders, we are strengthening the Port of Maputo\u2019s role as a strategic gateway for regional and international trade.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are proud and grateful to the Government of Mozambique for supporting us in building a platform that will help prepare Mozambique for the challenges of the next generation of trade and logistics.\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThis award marks an important milestone for Kal\u00e9 and reinforces our commitment to supporting digital trade transformation across Africa,\u201d said <strong>Vineet Malhotra, Director and Co-Founder, Kal\u00e9<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are honoured to be selected by MPDC for this strategic PCS initiative.
