The company\u2019s Health Fair was an opportunity for interested staff members to perform relevant blood tests, as well as get their COVID-19 vaccine thanks to the collaboration with the Ministry of Health.<\/strong><\/p>\n

May 12th was a day with strong focus on Health and Safety at APM Terminals Liberia, the country\u2019s largest container terminal, operating in the Freeport of Monrovia, with the Health Fair organised by the company in cooperation with its medical partner Clini Lab and with the presence of the representatives of the Ministry of Health. Aimed at increasing health awareness among the employees, the Fair allowed interested staff members get tested for BMI (Body Mass Index), haemoglobin and glucose levels, as well as blood pressure.<\/p>\n

In addition, thanks to the coordination of Clini Lab, Ministry of Health also participated in the initiative and helped administer COVID-19 vaccines to all interested employees. Protecting its people against the pandemic has been a key focus areas for the company and a key element in maintaining undisrupted operations despite challenges.<\/p>\n

This was made possible through our mobile vaccination team that vaccinated eligible people against COVID-19 at workplaces. Through the COVAX Facility and other donor partners, we were able to receive our first batch of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, which demonstrates the best of humanity. Vaccines save lives and we are all confident that this important milestone will allow Liberia to get back to business and continue our efforts to build back the economy\u201d, shared Adolphus Trokon Clarke, EPI Manager, Ministry of Health Republic of Liberia.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
