The 85m long vessel will be designed to carry around 100 containers for a maximum tonnage of 1400t, which will save up to 90% in fossil fuels on a transatlantic route. Also, the cargo ship is designed to accommodate 12 passengers living at the pace of the crew for an out of the ordinary experience on board one of the first cargo sailing ships in operation.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9607\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9607\" style=\"width: 1260px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/291563748_5183627178396462_5021336345128415223_n.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9607 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/291563748_5183627178396462_5021336345128415223_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1260\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/291563748_5183627178396462_5021336345128415223_n.jpg 1260w, https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/291563748_5183627178396462_5021336345128415223_n-300x190.jpg 300w, https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/291563748_5183627178396462_5021336345128415223_n-1024x650.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/maritimafrica.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/291563748_5183627178396462_5021336345128415223_n-768x488.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1260px) 100vw, 1260px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9607\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Photo Windcoop<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Windcoop will be the only shipping company to offer a direct route between France and Madagascar, with an estimated transport time of 35 days at an average speed of 8 knots. This line will serve Toamasina, the main port of the island, but also secondary ports, neglected by the main shipping companies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the future, Windcoop plans
