The launch of the activities of the second terminal comes after successful tests in mid-October 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This project was carried out thanks to an overall investment of 596 billion CFA francs, of which 334 billion CFA francs were dedicated to earthworks payable by the Port of Abidjan and 262 billion CFA francs to superstructure. Covering an area of 37.5 hectares, this new terminal has a 1100 m quay with a 16 m draught and modern equipment enabling it to handle 1.5 million TEU containers per year. Its commissioning will increase trade between C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire and the sub-region and strengthen the C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire\/Burkina Faso\/Mali corridor.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe official launch of C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire Terminal&#8217;s activities marks the beginning of a new phase. For two years, we have been working to build this new container terminal in order to provide the Port of Abidjan with an infrastructure that meets international standards and is capable of supporting the growth of traffic while preserving the environment,&#8221; said Koen De Backker, Managing Director of C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire Terminal.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This new infrastructure introduces several innovations, including automated gate management and an online appointment system, to facilitate the delivery and collection of containers in a timely and secure manner.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are proud of the completion of this major project, which will contribute to the long-term repositioning of the Port of Abidjan as a key logistics platform on the West African coast. I would like to congratulate the teams of the Autonomous Port of Abidjan and C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire Terminal for having worked together to achieve this.\u201d said Hien Yacouba Si\u00e9, Managing Director of the Autonomous Port of Abidjan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe commissioning of C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire Terminal reflects the commitment made by the terminal to increase volumes and boost import and export flows in C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire and West Africa. This new infrastructure encompasses all the latest innovations and perfectly showcases our commitment to the development of port activities in Africa.\u201d said Olivier de Noray, Ports and Terminals Managing Director of Bollor\u00e9 Ports.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire Terminal will also be one of the next terminals to obtain the Bollor\u00e9
