Second Meeting of the SADC MCSCC Operational Task Force Convenes in Maputo
The Southern African Development Community (SADC) Monitoring, Control, and Surveillance Coordination Centre (MCSCC) is pleased to announce the commencement of the Second Meeting of the Operational Task Force in Maputo.
The two-day event, hosted in the vibrant capital of Mozambique, will bring together key stakeholders to discuss critical matters related to minimum requirements for fishing vessels to operate in SADC are, as well as next steps for the Regional Register of Fishing vessels with priorities and responsibilities. The agenda highlights key critical aspects of success for the MCSCC which are: IPMU, Supporting Partners, Communications and more.
The outcomes of this meeting will be also the survey results and estimates of potential income, and support decisions of the task force to significantly contribute to the sustainable management of fisheries resources in the SADC region.
