South Africa Cruise Season kicks off with World Odyssey

The arrival of World Odyssey at the Port of Cape Town on the morning of 22 October 2024 heralded the start of the 2024/25 cruise season in South Africa.

Sailing under the flag of the Bahamas, the World Odyssey cruise liner brought approximately 538 international tourists onboard, paving the way for a projected 130,000 tourists anticipated to visit Cape Town during this cruise season.

This season, 268 scheduled passenger liners, representing an increase from 207 call-ins in the previous year are expected to pull alongside seven South African commercial seaports operated by Transnet National Ports Authority.
