East Quay: Congo Terminal plans to create 900 additional jobs
Since it began operations in 2009, Congo Terminal, a subsidiary of Africa Global Logistics (AGL), has been supporting the development of the port of Pointe-Noire whilst gradually expanding its workforce. The company now employs nearly 1,000 staff, 150 apprentices and takes on around 100 work experience students each month. With the East Mole project, this growth will reach a new milestone.
The new port facility is expected to create 900 additional jobs, mainly for young Congolese people. These new roles will primarily be in operations, maintenance and support functions, whilst also offering new career development opportunities to staff already employed by the company.
Beyond recruitment, Congo Terminal places training at the heart of its commitment. Through its apprenticeship programs, partnerships with higher education institutions and the regular intake of work experience students, the company helps to impart advanced technical skills tailored to the needs of the port and logistics sector.

The East Mole project will combine operational performance with social impact. By strengthening port capacity, the project will help to support the national economy, whilst promoting employment and the development of local skills in roles that are essential to the logistics chain.
