Côte d’Ivoire – Port Autonome de San Pedro strengthens its triple ISO certification and reinforces its prevention culture
The Port Autonome de San Pedro (PASP) has reaffirmed the robustness of its Integrated Quality, Safety and Environmental Management System (QSEIMS) by successfully completing the second surveillance audit for its triple ISO certification, conducted from 27 to 30 July 2026.
Carried out by Bureau Veritas, the audit assessed the port’s compliance, operational performance and risk management practices against the requirements of the international standards ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management).
Following the assessment, the auditing body issued a favourable opinion recommending the continued maintenance of the PASP’s triple ISO certification.
On this occasion, PASP Director General Mr Pascal José DALLY reaffirmed that the Integrated Quality, Safety and Environmental Management System is a cornerstone of the port’s performance strategy. Addressing process owners, he encouraged them to move beyond regulatory compliance and adopt a stronger risk anticipation approach:
“Our management system must evolve from a predominantly corrective approach to a preventive and predictive one, capable of identifying, monitoring and analysing the weak signals that may indicate emerging risks.”
This strategic vision represents a significant milestone in positioning the PASP’s management system as a key driver of resilience, operational excellence and long-term competitiveness in response to global environmental and logistics challenges.
At the close of the audit mission, the Director General commended the commitment, discipline, continuous dedication and professionalism demonstrated by all teams and process owners. He also reaffirmed his ambition to firmly establish the Port Autonome de San Pedro as a regional benchmark for quality, safety, environmental compliance and sustainable performance.
