On 15 February 2023, the Port Autonome de Kribi (PAK), Bolloré Africa Logistics, China Harbour Engineering Co (CHEC), International Container Terminal Services, Inc (ICTSI) and the Tangier Mediterranean Special Agency (TMSA) signed a memorandum of understanding for the development of an integrated industrial zone in the port area of Kribi, Cameroon.

Estimated at around 900 million dollars, this project aims to develop a gross area of 1,500 hectares for the establishment of logistics and industrial activities, with the creation of more than 50,000 direct jobs. The works mainly concern the earthworks for the platforms, the construction of the public utilities (telecommunications, water, electricity, public lighting, sanitation, road network, etc.) and the construction of buildings for commercial purposes (high-standing business centre, warehouses, etc.)

This allocated area makes the port of Kribi one of the largest ports in Africa and the world, confirming the Government’s great ambitions.
