The first MoU signed by Abdel Qader Darwish, Chairman of Egyptian Group For Multipurpose Terminals (EGMPT), and Saif Al Mazrouei, Head of Transport Sector at Abu Dhabi Ports Group, concerns the management and operation of a multipurpose terminal at the port of Ain Sokhna.

This agreement, which is part of the Egyptian Ministry of Transport’s project, aims to complete the development of Ain Sokhna port into one of the most important Egyptian ports on the Red Sea, serving trade between South and East Asia, South and West Europe and North Africa.

Also, on the same day, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Port Training Institute of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and Alexandria Port Authority on cooperation in the field of training programs.
