GPA ORGANISES A WEEKLONG CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING ON SINGLE WINDOW AND INTERNATIONAL TRADE FACILITATION

Gambia Ports Authority in collaboration with Gambia Revenue Authority and the Port Management Association for West and Central Africa (PMAWCA) has commenced a week-long training on the application of Single Window (SW) and International Trade Facilitation on Monday 31st May, 2021. The event is currently underway at Metzy Residence Hotel in Kololi.

The training sponsored by the Improvement of Port Customs and Operations Efficiency in Africa (IPCOEA) seeks to capacitise participants on Single Window and the Port Community System (PCS). The application of SW and the PCS would improve Port efficiency and customs operations.

Participants are drawn from GPA, GRA, MoTWI, MoFEA, MoICI, MoTIE, MoI, Shipping Agencies, GMA, Gambia Navy, Clearing and Forwarding Agencies, Seaport Agencies (Police, Health, GID, DLEAG, SIS) and Seaport Transport Union.

The official opening was being presided over by the Managing Director GPA, PS Ministry of Works, representatives of Commissioner General GRA and the GPA Board of Directors and Management.

GPA
