“Today we are proud of making another history by ensuring that workplaces continue to remain safe and conducive for employees. This was made possible through our mobile vaccination team that vaccinated eligible people against COVID-19 at workplaces. Through the COVAX Facility and other donor partners, we were able to receive our first batch of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, which demonstrates the best of humanity. Vaccines save lives and we are all confident that this important milestone will allow Liberia to get back to business and continue our efforts to build back the economy”, shared Adolphus Trokon Clarke, EPI Manager, Ministry of Health Republic of Liberia.

“The National Port Authority is proud to endorse the strong cooperation between APM Terminals Liberia and the Ministry of Health in this workplace COVID-19 vaccination program. Protecting our ports and port workers is paramount to the mission of NPA and we are pleased to see APM Terminals taking the steps to not only vaccinate its own employees, but also others working in the Port of Monrovia. We look forward to similar partnerships to promote and protect the maritime gateway of Liberia”, said NPA Managing Director, Honorable Bill Twehway.

APM Terminals Liberia has operated in the Freeport of Monrovia since 2011, contributing positively towards developing it into a world class state-of-the-art port, serving not only Liberia, but also neighbouring markets. “We treat this as a commitment to jointly create opportunities for local communities and Liberian businesses and to jointly unlock the full potential of this maritime gateway”, adds Jonathan Graham.
