Port of Mombasa received Indian Naval Ship (INS) Talwar which docked at the Port late last night

The naval warship has been participating in a maritime training exercise on East Africa’s coast aimed at assessing and improving regional and maritime awareness, as well as promote national and regional security in East Africa.

The ship’s captain, Captain Partha Bhatt invited KPA MD Amb. John Mwangemi aboard the vessel for a tour where the two who were joined by Defence Attache Captain Nitesh Garg held discussions on maritime security and safety matters.

INS Talwar conducts coastal and offshore patrols, monitoring of sea lines of communication, maritime diplomacy, counter terrorism and anti-piracy operations.
