Seychelles Fisheries Authority (SFA) Welcomes Delegation from India’s National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management
Seychelles Fisheries Authority (SFA) welcomed a delegation from the National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM), Chennai, India, on 9th and 10th September 2026.
During the two-day visit, the delegation engaged with teams from various SFA departments, including Monitoring, Control and Surveillance (MCS), Fisheries Management, Fisheries Research, Product Development and Quality Assurance (PDQA), Port Management and Facilities, and Aquaculture.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, share knowledge and discuss approaches to fisheries management, coastal sustainability, aquaculture development, quality assurance and port operations.
The programme concluded with a site visit to Victoria Port, where the delegation gained first-hand insight into port operations and SFA’s role in supporting and monitoring fisheries-related activities.
The visit strengthened the relationship between SFA and NCSCM and opened the door to future technical cooperation and collaboration.
