This new tug represents a major step forward for the Port Autonome de Lomé and more specifically for the LCT. By allowing the reception of larger vessels, it will contribute to increasing the port’s capacity and strengthening its competitiveness in the region. The announcement of the arrival of this tug demonstrates the continued commitment of Togo and Boluda to work hand in hand to improve towing services and support the development of the Port Autonome de Lomé.

Beyond this good news, the meeting was also an opportunity for both parties to discuss the competitive situation of ports in West Africa. They heard about the latest World Bank report, the Container Port Performance Index, which highlights the issues and challenges facing ports in the region. This discussion demonstrates the importance that Boluda and Togo attach to close cooperation to improve the towage services at the Port Autonome de Lomé
