THE BRITISH ROYAL NAVY DELIVERS OPERATIONAL READINESS TRAINING TO THE GAMBIA NAVY

The British Royal Navy’s International Maritime Training Team (IMTT) conducted an operational readiness programme for Gambia Navy personnel from Monday 3rd to Thursday 13th November 2025. The training focused on core competencies such as navigation, boat-handling techniques and technical maintenance skills for naval engineers. This effort has significantly reinforced the Navy’s internal operational capacity, an essential requirement for sustaining the expanding fleet, including the newly acquired PAC-22 vessels.

This training underscores the Gambia Navy’s commitment to continuous cooperation and demonstrates its growing capability to safeguard the nation’s maritime resources and Exclusive Economic Zone.
