1ST SUMMIT ON BLUE COOPERATION IN AFRICA “Building together an inclusive blue economy through South-South Cooperation”

Agadir, Morocco – June 3rd, 2025

South & Synergy Agency is pleased to announce the 1st Summit on Blue Cooperation in Africa, an international event that will take place on June 3rd, 2025, at the Hilton Taghazout Bay Hotel, a few kilometers from Agadir, in the Souss-Massa Region.

Summit Objective:

This summit aims to pioneer and build the concept of “Blue Cooperation in Africa,” through the lens of enhancing South-South Cooperation around an ecosystemic vision of the Blue Economy for the future and sustainability of our continent.

The event will place Africa at the heart of high-level discussions, to co-construct a Blue Cooperation tailored to the continent’s needs and the aspirations of its citizens, in response to Agenda 2030 and Agenda 2063, “The Africa We Want.”

It will serve as a platform to build a unified and strong path for Africa, In preparation for the upcoming UN International Summit (United Nations Ocean Conference) scheduled for next June in Nice, France.

This Summit is not merely an international meeting; it is a vision, a shared ambition to tackle environmental and economic challenges tied to the sustainable management of oceans and water resources.

It will gather heads of state, policymakers, scientific experts, innovative companies, and committed actors to build a future where the blue economy becomes a key pillar of sustainable development.
