Abidjan Port Authority: The project of the Bureau of Dockers’ Labor (BMOD) presented to the Port Authority

The Commander of the Port of Abidjan, Colonel COFFI Emmanuel, received on behalf of the Director General of the Abidjan Port Authority a delegation of the Bureau of Dockers Labor (BMOD), on March 17, 2022.

It was important for his delegation to come and present to the Port Authority the said project, according to Mr. Stéphane EHOLIÉ, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the BMOD.

Indeed the BMOD is a project that wants to establish a cooperative society for a more efficient and collegial management of the dockers’ workforce in the Ports of Abidjan and San Pedro. Mr. EHOLIÉ also said that the BMOD project follows a decree issued in January 2019 by the President of the Republic, SEM. Alassane OUATTARA, which should confer a more professional and comfortable status to the corporation of dock workers.
