Africa Global Logistics Congo increases its lifting capacity
On 20 January 2026, Africa Global Logistics (AGL) Congo increased its lifting capacity with the commissioning of a 250-tonne crane. It is one of the cranes with the highest lifting capacity currently in operation on the market. The company has also just acquired two additional GRT 880 cranes with a capacity of 80 tonnes.
The 250-tonne crane has a 70-metre telescopic boom and a 21-metre folding jib. This enables it to carry out the most complex handling operations. The 80-tonne cranes are more agile and versatile lifting equipment, particularly suited to the requirements of the port sector.
The GRT 880 cranes offer great mobility and exceptional handling for lifting operations in confined spaces. They are not particularly sensitive to sea spray.
‘These new lifting cranes provide a reliable solution for our oil industry customers, whose logistics operations require both expertise and equipment adapted to the constraints of the terrain,’ explains Yann PICARD, Technical and Equipment Director at Africa Global Logistics Congo.
Africa Global Logistics Congo invests annually in lifting and transport equipment. The company has a fleet of lifting cranes ranging from 70 to 250 tonnes. Thanks to the diversity of its equipment, the company is the trusted logistics operator in the country, offering tailor-made logistics, port, maritime and rail solutions to customers in all economic sectors.
