Congo Terminal and Renatura Congo are renewing their partnership to protect biodiversity, ecosystems and marine species
In late May 2026, Congo Terminal and Renatura Congo formalized the renewal of their annual partnership, dedicated to preserving biodiversity and protecting the environment and the resources of our ecosystems along the Congolese coastline, through the Environmental Education and Awareness (EEA) program.
The ceremony, chaired by the Managing Director of Congo Terminal, served to reaffirm the company’s commitment and responsibility in building a virtuous ecosystem.
This partnership forms part of a long-term collaboration through which Congo Terminal actively supports Renatura Congo’s initiatives to encourage behavioural change and engage members of society, from a very young age, in sustainable actions. The initiatives supported cover a wide range of areas: environmental awareness-raising among urban and rural populations, outreach in schools, protection of coastal ecosystems, conservation of endangered marine species, capacity building and resource materials for teachers, as well as the broadcast of television programs promoting understanding and adoption of best practices for a sustainable environment. The program also includes visits and training sessions for employees’ children on these environmental issues.
Its renewal confirms the shared commitment of both organizations to continue their grassroots initiatives, educational campaigns and conservation activities for the benefit of local communities and younger generations.
On this occasion, the Managing Director of Congo Terminal praised the quality of this collaboration and emphasized the need to mobilise all stakeholders in the face of environmental challenges.
“We are fully aware of our responsibility to act sustainably to protect our environment. With the commitment of every employee, we are working to significantly reduce our carbon footprint. Together with Renatura Congo, we are taking concrete action to promote biodiversity and raising awareness among communities about the preservation of marine ecosystems.” – Anthony Samzun, Managing Director of Congo Terminal.
Renatura Congo, for its part, has expressed its gratitude to Congo Terminal for its ongoing support, which significantly strengthens conservation and environmental education efforts on the ground.
Through this renewed partnership, Congo Terminal reaffirms its commitment to protecting the Congo’s natural heritage and promoting responsible practices for the benefit of future generations.
