Cosco Shipping Line, the fourth largest container shipping company in the world has expressed interest to begin operations at the Port of Lamu

Wang Hua, the Managing Director of Cosco Kenya said the Shipping line has been working closely with KPA and was looking forward to increased cooperation in business as the Port of Lamu begins operations in earnest.

He met Ambassador John Mwangemi the Acting Managing Director, who encouraged the team to visit the Port to appreciate the features and the facilities the port has to offer.

Cosco has been operating at the Port of Mombasa since 2013 and recently set up an office in Mombasa to streamline operations and tap into the growing East African market.

Earlier on the MD met a team from the Numerical Machining Complex Limited led by the Managing Director Mr. David Mwadali and discussed areas of collaboration between the two organizations.
