Egypt – Alex port authority receives the tourist vessel CRYSTAL SERENITY
Alex port authority has received the tourist vessel CRYSTAL SERENITY in its last stop in A.R.E , this within its international voyage that was organized amongst World Tourist and Travel Council (WTTC) effectiveness; that had passed by many Egyptian ports and cities and passing by Suez Canal.
On board of the vessel were 202 important personality and global tourism and travel influencers, amongst which Egyptian ministers and international diplomats besides head of board of directors of WTTC and a number of senior officials, decision makers and representatives of global major companies working in the sector. All were received by Alex port authority head of board of directors accompanied by number of the authority’s senior officials and representatives from ministries of transport, tourism and the interior .
This comes after being hosted by the Egyptian government; in a vast participation from international foundations and tourist industry partners, this comes at an important time for tourism and travel globally, as it aims at accelerating recovery through enhancing cooperation between the governments and private sector leaders, in a way that supports sustainable growth and enhances this sector ability to confront international challenges.
This voyage reflects high coordination between different concerned entities, whether governmental or global, it also assures increasing trust in Egyptian tourism destination and its ability to host such major events that assembles leaders in such current geopolitical challenges.
Worth noting that the authority enjoys developed capabilities in the field of maritime tourism field, where the port’s tourist passengers terminal is considered Egypt main maritime gate , and was developed to become a comprehensive center for best tourists and passengers’ services. And is on an area of more than 34 thousand square meter and can receive up to 8000 tourist at the same time. And of berths’ length 820m; capable of receiving four giant tourist vessels simultaneously. Also the terminal consists of 3 floors that includes duty free shops and a mall that works all day long; with 107 shops ready for operation, in addition to 5 restaurants and three cafeterias. Hence ensuring providing with a comprehensive distinguishable experience for the passengers.
This visit ensures the vital role that Alex port plays being one of the most important tourist ports on the Mediterranean, thus supporting the state’s efforts to promote the Egyptian tourist destination and enhances Egypt status as a regional and global center for travel and tourism.
