GHANA : COMMODORE AGAMBIRE IS NEW RIVERINE COMMAND FOC

Commodore (Cdre) James Agambire, on Tuesday 3 September 2024 at the Naval Headquarters, assumed command as the new Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Riverine Command.

He takes over from Commodore Solomon Asiedu Larbi, currently the FOC Naval Training Command. Until his appointment, Cdre Agambire served as the Assistant Chief of Staff in charge of Administration at the office of the Chief of Staff, General Headquarters.

At a brief handing and taking over ceremony, Commodore Agambire pledged to build on the achievements of his predecessor, focusing on enhancing riverine security, improving operational efficiency, and boosting morale within the Command.

He brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served in various capacities within the Ghana Navy.

The Riverine Command plays a critical role in ensuring security and safety along Ghana’s inland waterways.
