Marsa Maroc announces the completion of Terminal Investment Limited’s entry into the capital of West Med Container Terminal, concessionaire subsidiary of the Nador West Med Eastern Container Terminal
- Marsa Maroc has completed the entry of Terminal Investment Limited (TIL), a subsidiary of the MSC Group, into the capital of West Med Container Terminal (WMCT), the concessionaire subsidiary of the Eastern Container Terminal at the Port of Nador West Med.
- Following completion of the transaction, the shareholding structure stands at 50% minus one share held by TIL
and 50% plus one share held by Marsa Maroc.
Marsa Maroc announces the completion of Terminal Investment Limited’s entry into the capital of West Med Container Terminal, the concessionaire subsidiary of the Eastern Container Terminal at the Port of Nador West Med, following the receipt of all required approvals from the competent authorities.
Upon completion of the transaction, WMCT’s shareholding structure comprises Terminal Investment Limited, holding 50% minus one share, and Marsa Maroc, holding 50% plus one share of the subsidiary’s share capital and voting rights.
As a reminder, Marsa Maroc and Terminal Investment Limited signed a partnership agreement in February 2025 relating to the Eastern Container Terminal of the Port of Nador West Med. The terminal will feature 1,520 linear meters of quay, an 18-meter draft, and 70 hectares of yard, with an ultimate capacity of 3.4 million TEUs. The commissioning of the first phase of the terminal is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
