Marsa Maroc awarded the concession for petroleum berth 8 Bis of the port of Jorf Lasfar
- Marsa Maroc expands its concession portfolio in Morocco with petroleum berth 8 Bis of the port of Jorf Lasfar, with commissioning scheduled for the first quarter of 2029.
- Awarded for a period of 30 years, this concession was granted to Marsa Maroc following a tender process launched by the National Ports Agency.
- This project will create an additional handling capacity of 4.6 million tons of liquid bulk at the port of Jorf Lasfar.
Following a tender process launched by the National Ports Agency, Marsa Maroc has been awarded the concession for petroleum berth 8 Bis of the port of Jorf Lasfar, for a period of 30 years. Under this concession, Marsa Maroc will be responsible for the design, financing, construction and development of berth 8 Bis, as well as its equipment, commercial operations, maintenance and upkeep.
Featuring a 71-meter quay and a draught of 16.5 meters, berth 8 Bis will offer a handling capacity of 4.6 million tons of a wide range of liquid bulk products. Its commissioning is scheduled for the first quarter of 2029.
This new concession will enable Marsa Maroc to support the growth of national demand for petroleum products, while strengthening its position and capacities in the liquid bulk segment at the port of Jorf Lasfar.
