MTBS DEVELOPS MARKETING STRATEGY 2022-2030 FOR PORT AUTONOME DE KRIBI

Together with the Port Autonome de Kribi (PAK), MTBS successfully developed the port authority’s marketing strategy for the 2022-2030 period. As one of Central and Western Africa’s most efficient ports, the PAK engaged MTBS to prepare a multi-faceted growth strategy.

The strategy focuses on many of the port’s dominant and natural hinterlands vis-à-vis its domestic competitor (Douala) such as wood exports while also identifying the growth opportunities on the domestic front as well as in the regional transit and transshipment markets.

The final step of the marketing strategy assignment included a benchmark visit to the port of Abidjan. The Port Autonome d’Abidjan (PAA) welcomed the PAK and MTBS for an official visit, which included on- and off-site visits to leading public and private sector actors in the same key commodities identified in PAK’s marketing strategy. This included cacao, fruits and vegetables, the general container trade as well as multiple joint PAK-PAA working meetings.
