Signing of an MoU between Convention on Business Integrity (CBi) and Maritimafrica

On Monday 30 October 2023, a major partnership was sealed between two key players in the maritime sector in Africa. Maritimafrica, represented by its Founder, Ms Pascaline ODOUBOUROU, and the Convention on Business Integrity (CBi), represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Olusoji APAMPA, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) paving the way for a promising collaboration aimed at strengthening the development of the maritime sector on the continent.

This historic signing took place in Dakar, where Mr Olusoji APAMPA and a member of CBi travelled to explore various areas of cooperation with Maritimafrica. The fruitful meeting culminated in this significant agreement, and Mr Olusoji APAMPA expressed his great satisfaction at the start of this new collaboration between the two entities.

The Memorandum of Understanding between Maritimafrica and CBi aims to strengthen collaboration on several key activities for the maritime sector in Africa, including :

  • Strengthening Integrity and Ethics: Both organisations are committed to promoting high standards of integrity and ethics within the maritime community in Africa. This initiative will contribute to a culture of honesty and transparency in the sector.
  • Training and Skills Development: Maritimafrica and CBi will work together to develop training programmes aimed at improving the skills of professionals in the maritime sector, thereby enhancing the quality of the workforce in Africa.

This partnership between Maritimafrica and CBi embodies a strong commitment to the development and promotion of the maritime sector in Africa. It is a crucial step towards strengthening integrity, competence and transparency in this strategic sector.

Both parties look forward to the realisation of these shared objectives and are convinced that this collaboration will make a significant contribution to the development of the maritime sector in Africa.
