Signing of the minutes officially commissioning the second container terminal of the Port of Abidjan
On Thursday 09 February 2023, the Port Autonome d’Abidjan (PAA) represented by its Director General, Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ and the concessionaire Côte d’Ivoire Terminal (CIT), represented by its first manager, Mr. Koen DE BEKKER, proceeded to the signing of the minutes officially commissioning the second container terminal (TC2) of the port of Abidjan, in the presence of the AXELCIUM group, the consultancy firm in charge of the TC2 concession.
The signing of the minutes took place in the premises of the General Management of the Autonomous Port of Abidjan.
With a surface area of 37.5 hectares, the second container terminal of the port of Abidjan is capable of handling more than 1.5 million TEU containers per year and of accommodating vessels with a draught of 16 metres along its 1100 m of quays.
The second container terminal, built with a total investment of 596 billion FCFA, will enhance the attractiveness of the port of Abidjan.
The second container terminal of the port of Abidjan was inaugurated on 02 December 2022 by the Vice-President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, H.E. Tiémoko Meyliet KONE.
