The Chairman of the Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority Receives A EUNAVFOR ASPIDES Delegation at Red Sea World
The Chairman of the Djibouti Ports & Free Zones Authority (DPFZA), Mr. Aboubaker Omar Hadi received at Red Sea World a delegation of ASPIDES/EUNAVFOR, led by Commodore Michail Lampiris (EL-N), EUNAVFOR ASPIDES Force Commander.
The discussions focused on a shared priority: ensuring the continued freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, in a context marked by growing regional and international maritime challenges such as the resurgence of piracy activities.
The Chairman and the Commodore underlined the importance of maintaining safe and secure maritime passages for the benefit of international trade, regional stability, and the uninterrupted flow of goods between continents.
The Commodore expressed his appreciation for Djibouti as a safe and reliable haven, and conveyed his gratitude to the Government of Djibouti for its continued commitment to supporting initiatives that promote maritime security and freedom of navigation.
