The Cotonou Port Authority (PAC) wants to acquire two new tugs
The Cotonou Port Authority has signed with Damen Shipyards, last week a contract of acquisition of 2 tugs of 85-ton bollard pull, types ASD 2813. Expected in early 2021, their delivery, will make the port of Cotonou now ready for the qualitative and safe towing of the largest ships.
Recall that, the ASD Tug 2813 are very maneuverable and are equipped with modular winch options, delivering render and recovery capabilities at up to 3 meters wave height. The logistically developed layout of the winches ensures a spacious, obstacle-free working deck with optimal towing point positioning for safe ship-handling operations in harbors, estuaries and offshore terminals.
These tugs are also equipped with a fire fighting system (FiFi class. 1) and against oil pollution in the harbor basin. These tugs excel in versatility and delivers 85 tonnes of bollard pull ahead and 80 astern.
